As one of the few female leaders in the Science and Technology field, Noreen Raines’ personal mission is to inspire young scientists (particularly girls, women and other underrepresented groups) to consider and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). After years of work and outreach promoting STEM fields to women and children, Noreen founded The Beauty and Brains network, the leading platform for other women in STEM fields looking to network and promote the cause.

Noreen is a frequent speaker for events and media opportunities promoting STEM fields and hopes to bring visibility to this important subject through ongoing advocacy. Think about it: by increasing the visibility of STEM professionals in the media, as well on local levels, young people will be more likely to pursue careers in STEM fields and successfully matriculate through higher education.  When professionals in the industry are well supported, they give back to their communities through mentoring, contributions and support.
